I mentioned in my 1st post here that I'll try to post +EV information here (when possible). I'll start with one. And FHead can post his opinions in here: *If you are a Vegas resident or at least visit Vegas once or twice per year, purchase the LV Advisor coupon book. I just listened to the podcast that Anthony Curtis was on. Anthony said that the casinos were pretty liberal on their Blackjack coupons this year. There are some very generous 2x and 3x Blackjack coupons in the book. Read the fine-print on the coupon. But it should be pretty simple. Play BJ with Basic Strategy at the casino UNTIL you hit the Natural. You then present the coupon, get paid and then stop playing. Very easy +EV play, and the denominations are pretty good this year. Great stuff here Chucky! Here's the link:
They talk about the Super Bowl. But Anthony talks a lot about EV in the coupon book.
Very good way to pick up some EV without taking a lot of risk.

A few tips:
1) Take a close look at the Rules. ...Some 21 Tournaments have very generous rules, like 2/1 Natural pay out! Edge off the top goes +EV. ...Some shoe games have very bad rules. Negative EV off the top.
2) Build this into your strategy. ...If you're +EV, you want to be betting more than the average player. ...If you're -EV, you can benefit by betting LESS.
3) See Point #2. Dealer dealing to a full table has 85% correlation to each player normally. ...IE, if Dealer makes 20, most (or all) hands lose. ...If Dealer busts, any surviving hand wins.
Blackjack tournaments are normally very quick. 30 hands is standard. You likely need to risk and get lucky to cash.

I'll add in one Tournament tip. Depending upon Tournament format, you normally need to Win your table OR accumulate a high # of chips to advance on the Wildcard board.
See my final point above. You need to make hands. You need to get lucky to advance. You likely need to win at least one of these within the 30 hands: *A Natural *A Double Down, and *(maybe) a Double After Split (DAS).
DAS hands put a lot of chips in play. Here is my tip. If you're short-stacked and need to make a move, divide your hand into Thirds or Quarter: *If you have 300, bet 100, OR *If you have 400, bet 100. ...My rationale on this is that you want to have playing options. If you're all-in on a hand, you have to play the hand without option of splitting/doubling. ...If you split your bet into thirds, you can at least split and double on one hand. Chance to double your money. ...If you split your bet into quarters, you can split/double into four bets. Same thing, you want to have playing options.

That's a great video. I won a 21 tournament doing exactly what Curtis mentioned.
On the last hand of the round, I was in 2nd. $25 behind 1st: *He bet Max. *I didn't want to match his bet. Because then I'd be tied to his outcome. *I bet $50 below Max. I'm now rooting for the dealer. Neither one of us busted, but the Dealer made 20, and i won by $25.
